Works by Roycroft Master Artisan Laura Wilder
Friday, April 9, 2010 at 7:00 pm until Friday, April 30, 2010 at 5:00 pm
Come enjoy the works of this talented local artist and get a chance to speak with her about her latest methods and process on the opening night of this exhibit, June 4. Laura's inspiration comes from artists of the early twentieth century: Baumann, Steichen, Holwein, Voysey, Klimt, Bradley. The subjects she chooses to draw, paint, carve and print are all about that simpler more satisfying life, striving to inspire us to do meaningful work and to connect with and care for our natural world and each other. She has a varied body of work, bouncing back and forth between bold, postery decorative art and soft, spiritual fine art. Laura has received the title of Roycroft Master Artisan, been honored twice with Merit Awards at the Clothesline Arts Festival and now produces some of her fine art block prints at the Printing & Book Arts Center.
