Faceless

In their 10th annual exhibit, Community Darkroom monitors share their interpretations of "faceless" through original black and white photographs.
The word "faceless" has many meanings: nameless, unknown, anonymous, or literally, without a face. "Faceless" could refer to anything from "lacking individuality" to Godsmack's third studio album. Contemporary pundits also may use "faceless" to refer to the world's exploited, underprivileged, or collectively forgotten populations.
Photographers include: Leann Michael, Debbie Piotrowski, Jen Perena, Beth Lyons, Susan Andersen, Thomas Schaeffer, Monika Ueffinger, Terri Sipone, Theresa Hastings, and Karen Kral.

Western New York Book Arts Center (WNYBAC) and our Printing & Book Arts Center at the Genesee Center for the Arts and Education, are continuing to forge a strong relationship that can only enhance the success and vibrancy of each organization. Of course, with every healthy relationship there is give and take.
Starting on January 20, 2012 member work from The Printing & Book Arts Center will be on view at WNYBAC for the Buffalo community to enjoy!
The artwork featured in this show will highlight the processes, techniques, and mediums The Printing & Book Arts Center at the Genesee Center for the Arts and Education focus on, from letterpress prints to altered books.
