Board of Director candidates
The Genesee Center for the Arts & Education, a Not-For-Profit arts education organization, in Rochester, New York is looking for qualified volunteers to fill a seat on the Board of Directors.
Do you have a passion for the arts and want to truly make a difference? In Rochester you can do this by serving on our board of directors. Get a chance to see firsthand how your support can change people's lives.
Candidates must be over the age of 21 and have experience in the areas related to business, education, and/or visual arts. As board members, candidates will serve in a volunteer capacity, must be able to
- attend monthly meetings
- serve on at least one standing committee
- provide at least a small measure of financial support.
Other desirable qualities include, but are not limited to, an ability to work with others in consensus mode, good leadership skills, a respect for the community, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get down to work.
The Genesee Center for the Arts & Education serves the community by bringing art education services to those who may be difficult to reach. Our photography, pottery and book arts programs are available to community members of all ages, income and background.
Our organization is governed by a small board of directors whose professional quality and hard work enables the Genesee Center to provide a high level of quality programs that have a positive, lasting impact on those it serves.
