| Class Description: | This 8 week class will explore decorating techniques for Cone 6 oxidation firing on leatherhard and bisqued pots. Using the Pottery’s Cone 6 glazes and slips, as well as commercial underglazes for bisque, Marsha will demonstrate five different approaches to surface decoration, including: paper masking, inlaid slip, slip trailing, underglaze trailing, and glaze trailing. Discussion will also include how to section off a pot and lay out pattern. Students will be provided with pattern and image books to browse for inspiration. Class time will be provided for creating the pots to be decorated. Materials fee - $25 |
