Printmaking for Photographers*
*This is a late-starting summer class
Photography and printmaking intersect beautifully in this workshop, where you will explore the possibilities of Photopolymer Intaglio-Types. Materials used will be non-toxic, no acid etching or oil based inks. Create a light sensitive plate using Photopolymer film, which will be inked with water-based ink and printed on a press at the Printing and Book Arts Studio. Printmaking techniques such as selective wiping with colored inks, chin-colle, stenciling and masking can be combined for truly unique imagery. At registration students will be given an email address to send their images to the instructor.
