The Altered Book
In this workshop you will be introduced to the variety of ways that one can creatively re-purpose old books into art. We will explore techniques including mixed media collage, adding windows, using found objects, and image transfer. You will leave with an altered book full of examples meant to inspire you to further explore the artform. Participants are encouraged to bring printed imagery and small objects to incorporate into the project, as well as two or three hardcover books. Materials are included in the fee.
