The Printing & Book Arts Center at the Genesee Center for the Arts and Education, offering classes and studio access, addresses the needs of book arts lovers in the Rochester area and beyond. The center is modeled after other successful centers such as Open Book in Minneapolis, Women's Studio Workshop in New York, and The San Diego Book Arts Center. This is a unique opportunity for Rochester and we hope you are as excited to take part in this venture as we are to bring it to you!
Our comprehensive series of classes includes letterpress printing, bookbinding, book arts, paper making and calligraphy. Additional services include rental of space and equipment for personal production (members only), exhibitions of artists work, and youth programs.
We also provide teaching opportunities for professional book artisans and printmakers from all different styles and backgrounds. If you would like to share your talent as a teacher please let us know.
